4 Levels of Awareness
Understanding these levels of awareness allows you to:
- give yourself permission to be where you are at without any judgement
- start observing your patterns so you can choose ones that will get you achieving your tangible results
- understand what we mean when we say at the 'choice point'
- uncover the unconscious so you can make a conscious choice to choose the empowered perspective
The four levels of awareness
- No awareness
- In hindsight
- In the moment, see the choice point, but still act out old pattern
- In the moment, see the choice point, able to choose the empowered perspective
Old patterns typically fall into the following patterns:
- Fight - where you force the outcome, this usually results in feelings of anger or not feeling fulfilled once your 'do' the action.
- Flight - where you withdraw/give-up from any discomfort, meaning you don't get to where you are going.
- Fawn - where you people please and give your power to others, this usually results in feelings of resentment or burnout.
Some examples of choosing the Empowered Perspective:
- Hold discomfort, lean into it, stay with that tension in a way that honours yourself. You are not punishing yourself, you don't do it because of what others will think or do.
- You choose to focus on the end result, you remember why you are doing what you do. you are able to shift out of Tapping into your why.
